Keep Jacket Materials and Trims Aligned with the Approved BOM
Keep the shell, lining, fastening, thread and brand details of your jacket connected with one agreed component list. We can discuss your custom order against that bill of materials and the accepted garment reference. This page explains how material identity and substitutions affect construction, sample approval and the product version you intend to receive.

One Component List for the Actual Jacket
Relia works with buyer-specified jacket materials and components. Relia connects the approved BOM with each part of the garment, helping the manufacturing conversation identify the actual build rather than relying on a general colour or material description.
Include the Details That Distinguish Each Item
A BOM connects each component to its location, identity, colour and quantity. Shell, lining, filling, reinforcement, zips and labels are separate entries because changing one can alter the garment's feel or appearance. The accepted sample should represent the same component choices that appear on the production record.
Connect Every Component with Its Place in Assembly
Relia reviews the component list against the pattern and garment openings before the build is finalised. Shell, facing, lining and fastening can meet at the same edge, so changing one component may affect thickness, handling or appearance there. The proposed substitution is therefore considered in its garment location. The sample remains the practical reference for reviewing the resulting combination.
Record shell, lining, thread, fastenings, labels and other required parts by garment area.
Show which components meet at the seams, openings and attachment points.
Consider the material, appearance and construction effect of any proposed substitution.
Keep the accepted component choices with the sample and order specification.
Keep Approval Attached to the Exact Item
Identify the sample or swatch that supports each material decision. A general garment approval should not leave uncertainty about which lining, zip or label version is intended.
The component identity.
Its sample or swatch.
The current agreed reference.
Review the Component in Its Garment Context
Check how the selected trim sits with the shell and construction. The complete sample can reveal a relationship that a loose component alone does not show.
Make the Sample and Component List Cross-Checkable
For an illustrative hooded jacket, the BOM can identify PU shell, hood construction, polyester lining and the selected filling separately. Attach the accepted references to those entries. The garment and the record then support one another instead of leaving the buyer to infer the inside layers from the outside photograph.
Original and proposed items.
The affected garment requirements.
The agreed current version.
Compare the Inside as Well as the Shell
- Relia reviews the sample and component references together, including inside materials and details that are less visible from the front.
- Compare the actual fastening, lining and brand components with the accepted BOM.
- When a replacement component is proposed, review the affected garment area and identify the approved change so the order retains a clear material and construction identity.
The Order Uses the Current BOM Version
Combine the component list with drawings, measurements and allocation. Discuss material availability, sample arrangements, quality review and timing in the written order correspondence.
