Jacket Samples & Approval | Plan the Reference Before Bulk

SAMPLES & APPROVAL

Use the sample to settle the production decisions

A sample discussion connects your jacket design with the material, fit, construction and artwork decisions needed for production. Send the current design or physical reference and identify what the review should settle. Agree the actual sample scope with our China factory for that version.

  • Existing reference: confirm whether the exact garment and version are available to review.
  • Development sample: identify which parts use that reference and which need new development or decisions.
  • Sales or pre-production purpose: specify the presentation decisions a sales sample should settle; for a pre-production reference, identify the accepted components, fit and artwork intended to anchor the bulk-order specification. Agree the actual sample scope in the project discussion.

Start from a custom development brief or the exact catalogue product. Describe the selected version and the changes to review, so the sample discussion begins with the same garment in mind.

Send one complete sample package

  • Product link or sketches, with the requested changes marked clearly.
  • Shell, lining, filling, trim and accepted colour references.
  • Size label, finished measurements and intended fit.
  • Artwork file, placement, dimensions and proposed application.
  • The review purpose, delivery destination and requested project dates.

Attach the relevant measurement sheet and component outline. Keep file names and revisions consistent so the latest request is easy to identify.

Add the material route: factory purchasing to your specification or physical materials supplied by you. Identify which materials and trims will be available for the sample review, together with their colour and component references.

Record the decision, then the next version

Review against the brief

Compare the sample with the intended components, measurements and artwork. Record observations by part of the jacket rather than combining every comment into one general approval.

Make revisions actionable

Name the detail, the requested change and the reference that explains it. Update the measurement sheet or artwork file when the written comment changes either one.

Identify the accepted reference

Keep the approved sample identity and current documents together. Make clear which version will support the bulk-order discussion and which details remain open.

Give the accepted sample and specification a date and revision identifier. Keep the material, measurement and artwork versions together as the production reference.

The inspection checklist helps turn an accepted reference into later review points.

Plan the sample within the project calendar

Discuss preparation, review, revisions and delivery as separate milestones. Include the relevant destination and your decision dates in the enquiry. Agree sample charges, shipping arrangements and any relationship to a later order in the project quotation.

Share the finished brief with Qingdao Relia Jacket Co., Ltd. to discuss the sample scope for your selected jacket.
