Long Belted PU Coats for Women’s Collections
A long belted PU coat needs its body length, lapel, front overlap and belt position planned together. We can develop your version for a women’s collection from a design or sample and a clear material brief. This page explains the pattern, layer and finishing decisions behind a long coat, including the fit and movement checks to make before ordering.

A Long-Coat Pattern with Balanced Openings
Relia manufactures custom PU and mixed-material outerwear designs for overseas buyers. Relia connects the long-coat silhouette with the selected PU surface, lining and fastening arrangement so the accepted garment represents your intended customer fit.
The PU Surface Is a Specific Choice
Longer bodies make drape and front balance more visible. The belt, belt loops, waist position and hem need to suit the intended wearer together. The selected PU surface and lining affect how the coat folds when belted and how the lower front falls when left open.
Balance the Long Front and Belted Waist
Relia reviews the long front panels for the intended hang, overlap and waist position before laying out the cut pieces. Pockets, belt loops and any back opening need to work with that pattern. Facings and collar edges are assembled with the actual PU thickness and surface handling in mind, then the lining is connected to allow the planned length and movement.
Define finished length, waist and belt level with the target wearer.
Connect pockets, belt loops, overlap and any back opening with the panel layout.
Coordinate collar, facings and fastening in the selected PU and lining combination.
Assess the completed coat walking, sitting and worn with or without the belt.
The Front Defines the Overlap
Show lapel shape, button positions and pocket layout clearly. Keep the intended open and fastened appearance visible in the brief so the sample can be reviewed in both positions.

Movement Adds Context to the Long Shape
Use the sample to review how the coat sits with the intended layers and movement. Identify any change to length, hem room or sleeve shape against the finished measurement chart.
Compare Belted and Open Fronts
For an illustrative women's capsule, review the accepted colour with the belt tied, loosely fastened and removed. Check that the coat has a coherent shape in each presentation. The long front should be judged as a complete line rather than only as a cropped upper-body photograph.

Review the Belt and Edge Finishing
- Relia reviews front-edge balance, lapel shape, belt-loop positions and the hang of the long hem.
- Check that the lining supports the intended movement and does not pull the outer layer.
- Inspect the PU surface at folded and handled areas, then compare finished measurements and pocket positions with the accepted specification.
