Sheepskin Jackets Developed Around Your Handfeel and Shape

Choose sheepskin for your jacket project together with the shape and handfeel you want the finished garment to have. We can develop your design in China using specified or customer-supplied materials. This page explains how a soft shell is handled at panels, seams, pockets and lining, and what to review on the sample before ordering your version.

Soft Leather Matched with the Intended Shape

Relia develops custom sheepskin jacket designs using the material and construction brief agreed for the project. Relia connects the selected leather with the collar, body shape, fastening and inside layers so softness is considered in the complete garment rather than as a swatch description alone.

Choose a Surface That Fits the Design

Sheepskin identifies the leather source, while finish, substance and internal construction determine much of the garment's shape. A soft hand can suit a relaxed front, but a collar and pocket edge may still need definition. Compare the selected shell in a folded edge and assembled sample so the material choice supports the silhouette you intend.

Support the Shape Without Losing the Intended Handfeel

Relia reviews the actual sheepskin at the garment edges and attachment points where several layers meet. Panel cutting and handling need to preserve the selected surface, while seam preparation and the lining arrangement contribute to the finished shape. Pocket openings, collar edges and fastening attachments are built in the selected material combination so the sample shows both the surface character and the garment structure.

Construction sequence
01Select the reference

Connect the actual sheepskin finish and handfeel with the intended jacket silhouette.

02Allocate the panels

Review visible surface relationships and the handling of paired garment pieces.

03Build the details

Coordinate seam preparation, pocket edges and fastening attachments in the chosen leather.

04Review the shape

Assess the complete sample on the intended wearer with its specified lining.

A Sample Shows the Selected Material in Shape

Review the sample for silhouette, movement and the intended layers. Connect fit feedback to finished measurements. The complete garment adds construction context that the raw swatch cannot show.

An illustrative project decision

Compare Two Shapes in the Same Material Direction

For an illustrative boutique capsule, review a short trucker and a double-breasted jacket with related sheepskin selections. Compare how the collar holds, how the body falls and how the sleeve moves. This creates a practical collection decision based on garment behaviour as well as touch.

Review Edges and Component Junctions

  • Relia reviews seam smoothness, panel appearance and collar and pocket shape on the sheepskin sample.
  • Check the leather at attachment points for the intended handling and surface presentation, then inspect lining room and fastening operation.
  • Compare the garment with the accepted handfeel reference and fit chart together, so one approval does not stand in for the other.
