Custom Jackets with a Buyer-Designed Lining
Design the inside of your jacket as part of the product, including the lining material, colour, artwork, pockets and labels. We can develop that inside layout with your custom shell design in China. This page explains how lining shape and attachment affect movement, access and the finished appearance when the jacket is opened.

The Inside Layout as Part of Your Design
Relia develops custom jacket interiors alongside the outer garment brief. Relia connects your lining design with the shell pattern, pocket arrangement and brand components, so the inside becomes a defined part of the sample and production discussion.
Material Choice Sets the Starting Point
Lining influences entry into the sleeve, inside drape and the visible finish when a jacket opens. An original print also needs an intended scale and direction. Keep the lining substrate, print and cut-panel layout connected so the artwork is not approved on a fabric that behaves differently in the finished jacket.
Construct the Lining Around Its Openings and Attachments
Relia reviews the lining pattern with the shell, facing edges, sleeve connections and inside pocket requirements. The lining needs the room required by the intended fit while staying coordinated with the hem and openings. Agreed artwork and labels are located before access is closed. The assembly route then connects the lining to the shell through the selected finishing method and appropriate access points.
Identify lining fabric, colour, artwork, labels and inside pocket locations.
Connect lining shape and usable room with the shell and intended layers.
Attach the agreed pockets, labels and artwork while the relevant areas are accessible.
Review facing, sleeve and hem connections on the complete garment.
Fit Review Includes the Lining
Review how the selected lining sits with the shell and intended layers. Keep movement, sleeve length and the inside hem relationship in the sample discussion.

The intended everyday use.
The Open Sample Shows the Construction
Inspect the full inside view alongside the exterior. This makes it easier to discuss seam positions, pocket access and the overall lining appearance using the same garment reference.
Review One Complete Inside Layout
For an illustrative private-label bomber, show the original lining artwork at actual scale on the back and front lining shapes. Identify the intended upright direction and any placement that matters when the jacket is opened. A finished sample then demonstrates the print together with the inside construction.

Review Joins and Facing Edges Close Up
- Relia reviews the lining with the jacket open and worn.
- Check inside pocket access, label and artwork positions, seam finish and the handling of facing and hem edges.
- Assess movement for pulling at the shoulders or sleeves, and compare the lining arrangement with the accepted inside drawing as well as the outside sample.
The Order Uses One Interior Version
Include the lining and artwork identifiers in the component list, with the current jacket chart and allocation. Sample charges and production arrangements are discussed for the project by email.
